Would Eric Holder Blame The Cylons?

If Eric Holder were a character on Battlestar Galactica he would be the one denying the existence of the Cylon empire or would concoct absurd rationalizations for why the Cylons seek the extermination of humans - the kind of moral equivalency that hurt the Ronald Moore version of the sci-fi classic and which got skewered nicely in the original Glen Larson version.

His recent testimony where he refused to blame Islamic extremism for Faisal Shahzad's attempted bombing of Times Square is illustrative of the Obama regime's non-commitment to defeating Islamo-Arab terrorism.

Continuing The Corruption Of The Housing Crunch

The housing crunch of late happened because the government - pushed by the likes of Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd - paid banks to make bad loans and put out incentives for people who couldn't afford them to get costly mortgages. A Tennessee Republican introduced a piece in a new bill; the piece puts some responsibility into mortgages. The Democrats are fighting it and proving anew their refusal to allow responsibility to dictate anything.

How Can The Times Say This?

Interesting that the NY Times is now noticing that Democratic bills to "reform" financial regulation don't work.

Arizona Enforces The Law

Arizona has a law cracking down on illegal immigrants, a law on the books because the federal government has not been enforcing the law. Predictably it has led to overheated response, with The Man On The Way Up attacking it for "undermining" fairness.

It does no such thing. See also some clarification of lawful contact following the expected MSM obfuscation of said contact. There is also an explanation of the situation on the ground on the Arizona border by an Arizona state senator.

From the Department Of Redundancy Department - according to MSNBC, the law "makes it a crime to be an illegal immigant."
