With the release of General Stanley McChrystal and installation of General David Petraeus in Afghantistan in the wake of the Rolling Stone piece, some pieces about General McChrystal - why he should have been released (seconded here with both published before the change) and why he should have stayed. The most delicious aspect of the situation is this - McChrystal managed to genuinely anger the infamously stuck-up Obama. Obama deserved to get treated like this because he's a jerk and as such not qualified to lead - and the only way he can begin to earn real trust is to change his policy and go for victory in the Middle East.
Worth noting is that what McChrystal did was not insubordination and in fact reflects poorly on the pundit class.
