The Dodd-Frank law is pushed as a necessity for regulating banks. But its impact on bank capital has been irrelevant, yet it hasn't stopped its defenders from making arguments that are dangerously false.
UPDATE, April 20: On March 30 a US District judge reversed a government ruling that MetLife was "too big to fail." The House meanwhile is putting Dodd-Frank on an actual budget. Government hacks are up in arms.

Two Crooks Dishing

Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are crooks. Being elected officials they get the ultimate area where they can swipe money and spend it. They've thus authored a financial "reform" bill that's about spending money and forcing someone else to pay for it. But they may have sealed their bill's doom.
UPDATE: The Dodd-Frank monstrosity passed, but got somewhat neutered, and the caving of a few weak Republicans helped a bill that otherwise was doomed.
