Credibility Counts

Obama and his buttboys claim otherwise, in the face of overwhelming evidence against them

"On January 12, 1950, Secretary of State Dean Acheson delivered a speech in Washington, the reverberations of which were felt on the other side of the world. Describing U.S. foreign policy objectives in Asia, a region where both China and the Soviet Union were seeking to spread Marxist-Leninist revolution, Acheson declared that America had established, by force of arms, a “defensive perimeter that ran along the Aleutians to Japan and then goes to the Ryukyus. More significant than the territories Acheson included, however, was the one he left out: the Korean peninsula. There, in the northern half, the Soviet- and Chinese-backed Communist regime of Kim Il-sung was preparing to invade its southern neighbor.

Five months after Acheson conspicuously neglected to include South Korea under the American security umbrella, the North did indeed invade the South, at Stalin's urging. In the first military action ever authorized by the newly established United Nations Security Council, the United States assembled a multinational coalition to defend South Korea from military aggression. After three years of fighting and more than a million deaths, the war ended with an approximate reversion to the pre-conflict borders."

Hillary Milhous Clinton's Dysfunction Junction

The attempt by the Justice Department to cover up for Hillary Clinton's serial lawbreaking has nonetheless illustrated that lawbreaking and the utter incompetence and dishonesty of Hillary, her aides Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin, and Jake Sullivan among others, and everyone else associated with her.

"What also comes across is how Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin, and Jake Sullivan simply didn't think they should be prevented from doing things because of rules. Their sense of self-importance - that hubris that often seems to go along with government power - mixed in with the Clintons' characteristic belief that their self-proclaimed good intentions allowed them to do as they liked. These are people who think they are so important that they should not be constrained by such minor considerations as the possibility that stepping outside the government's secure system compromises American security.
The problem is that what it omits from the story of the email scandal.....is more important."

One of the things omitted is that Hillary used the State Department as part of her Clinton Foundation extortion racket - and being a racket is shown in the foundation's tax return.

Hillary Milhous Patton

This piece showcases Hillary Milhous Clinton's strange "enthusiasm" for military action and it warrants a few nitpicks.

The piece notes Clinton being told by General Buster Hagenback that attacking Iraq would be like "kicking over a bee's nest."   The problem is this reflects the institutional myopia of the Army, best shown by the resistance provided by the Army against Defense Department pushback of its garrison force mentality - once it was finally dragged kicking and screaming out of its basecamps and into actual aggressive action in Iraq, the bees' next was defeated.

Overall, though, Hillary has proven a clumsy excuse of a leader. This clumsiness and foolishness shows in her passivity and Libya shows how she suborns "interventionism" toward someone else's whim, not to US interests.

Where Regime Change Works And Where They Screw It Up

Regime change has quite often worked contrary to neoisolationists and ex post facto attempts to deny US success in Iraq and elsewhere. But with "leaders" like Hillary Clinton we get nothing but incompetence - as shown by (of all people) The New York Times.
