Democratic Party Regime Change Deja Vu
The Democratic Party and the Media Culture it works with wants to delgitimize the 2016 election - sound familiar? That's because it strove to delegitimize Richard Nixon's 1968 election, and for the same reason - their cherished conceit was exposed and shown up. Adding to the irony is indication the absurd prosecution of Trump about Soviet Russia is actually the Democratic Party playing Cover Your Ass with regard to its own covert dealings with Soviet Russia.

The Flynn Affair
Michael Flynn's resignation as President Donald Trump's first national security adviser won't end the controversy surrounding the new administration's purported ties to Russia.
Depending on which sources you consult, Flynn was either one of Vladimir Putin's stooges or a martyr to the swamp—the permanent bureaucracy in Washington. The truth is undoubtedly more complicated. And it's crucial that we get closer to it.
Flynn had a target painted on his back long before he ever joined Trump's White House. As head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Pentagon's main intelligence shop, he often clashed with colleagues and the rest of the sprawling intelligence bureaucracy. He was forced to resign from this post in 2014. But Flynn wasn't an incompetent intelligence officer, as some detractors have claimed. He often got the big issues right.
In 2010, when he was deputy chief of intelligence for NATO's International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, Flynn coauthored a scathing report that concluded the U.S. intelligence community is only marginally relevant to the overall strategy in that war-torn country. That was correct—it is obvious from many independent sources that the quality of intelligence on Afghanistan has been abysmal.
Will New NSA McMaster Shake Things Up?
A Russia hawk and a Russian peace proposal that perhaps wasn't
A week after Donald Trump asked Mike Flynn to resign from his post as national security advisor, the president has announced another Army general, H.R. McMaster, as Flynn’s replacement. If there are any worthwhile objections to McMaster's appointment among the broad national security, military, and political realms, I have yet to read them. The universal admiration for Trump's pick is reminiscent of his selection of Neil Gorsuch for the Supreme Court vacancy—something conservatives, moderates, and even a few liberals are happy about.
McMaster's military service and leadership are well known and well regarded in national security circles. His 1998 book Derelicition of Duty about the mismanagement of the Vietnam War at the top of the command chain was a popular read among commanders in Iraq. McMaster was one of those commanders, leading the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment to take back the northern Iraq town of Tal Afar from al Qaeda in 2005. He was instrumental in developing the surge strategy with David Petraeus. McMaster is also perceived as fairly hawkish on Russia, which contrasts him greatly with Flynn and the president himself.

Russia Is The Enemy, Period
Donald Trump is exploring "good relations" with Soviet Russia. The blunt reality is Soviet Russia will always be an enemy state.

The Faltering Of Global Democracy
The rise of international predator states in the last twenty-plus years has taken on different paths compared to the more distant past. This piece examines how it is happening and what incoming President Trump should do about it.. Among the symptoms are -
The piece further notes these to be tactics successfully used by Vladimir Putin and Hugo Chavez among others.
Increasing state surveillance and censorship of the internet
Diffuse decay of the rule of law
Increasing fear and intimidation as protections for civil liberties crumble
Banning the receipt of financial and technical assistance by international aid agencies and democracy foundations
Blatant pressure on the business community to serve the ruling party
The cancerous spread of crony capitalism and state corruption
The piece further notes these to be tactics successfully used by Vladimir Putin and Hugo Chavez among others.

The Endless Mistake Of Trusting Russia
US Presidents insist on making the same mistake with Russia. The fact is Russia is untrustworthy - it is the enemy.

What Game Is Russia Playing?
There are two separate issues in Red Russia's game
Reports Friday that U.S. intelligence agencies believe Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign to tilt the election in favor of Donald Trump have sown precisely the kind of confusion that American adversaries must have hoped for with their actions. In an effort to reach some sort of clarity, let's break the matter down into two separate questions—Was it Russia that hacked the Democratic National Committee's servers? Did the culprits hack the servers in order to secure a Trump victory?
Of course it's vital to defend our political institutions against cyber-attacks, which should perhaps be best understood as military campaigns. As House Speaker Paul Ryan explained in a statement released earlier today, any foreign intervention in our elections is entirely unacceptable. And any intervention by Russia is especially problematic because, under President Putin, Russia has been an aggressor that consistently undermines American interests.

Barack Obama Wants Syrian Options
"Barack Obama wants options on Syria" - and ever the Democrat he has no idea what to do next
When you say there is no military solution, you wind up with needing one.
UPDATE - We see three options here.
"The president has asked all of the agencies to put forward options—some familiar, some new—that we are very actively reviewing, said Anthony Blinken, deputy secretary of state. But force is not an option, since according to the White House there is no military solution for Syria.
'We're trying to pursue the diplomacy,' John Kerry told a group of Syrian opposition activists in a meeting whose proceedings were leaked last week. To that end, Kerry wants some credible threat of military force—not, of course, to force the Russians to bend to American power. After all, as Kerry has insisted, 'We remain absolutely convinced there is no such thing as a military solution.' No, all they want is to make the Russians a bit more agreeable to American pleas for mercy. In any case, Obama rejected Kerry's proposal. Force is not an option, even if it's just meant to get Moscow to the table.
The White House even tried to hand Syria over to Russia but that didn't work."

The Failure Of Appeasing Putin
Mitt Romney was attacked for calling out Soviet Russia as an aggressor state. Now Russia has broken yet another cease-fire in Syria, its forces rampaging and evoking bad memory of the invasions of Afghanistan et al, and Secretary Of State John Kerry acts surprised, this amid Soviet aggression in European Georgia, the Ukraine, and now Soviet intelligence sabotage of US computers in a direct assault on the US election.
Making it worse is the refusal to think seriously about foreign policy.
"When asked if the (computer hacking) amounted to a Russian intelligence operation on Wednesday, CIA Director John Brennan confessed (that it is). But even this concession was something the White House hoped to avoid, lest they threaten the project of rapprochement with Russia."
Making it worse is the refusal to think seriously about foreign policy.

The Obama-Trump Myopia On Russia
Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump have the same problem with Red Russia - they won't treat it as the enemy even though it is.

Hillary's State Department Cash
The new emails from Hillary Milhous Clinton - emails the Department Of Justice stopped the FBI from investigating - showcase how she dictated US foreign policy to benefit the crooks financing her life - even to letting Red Russia take control of US uranium.

The Clinton-Kremlin Connection
Hillary Milhous Clinton helps Red Russia
"A program overseen by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as part of the reset with Russia wound up enhancing Russia's military technology and funneling millions of dollar to the Clinton Foundation, according to a new report by investigative journalist Peter Schweizer and the Government Accountability Institute he heads.
The report says both the U.S. Army and the Federal Bureau of Investigation found that the program, intended to support Russia's version of Silicon Valley, was exploited to improve Russia's military capability.
"The innovation city of Skolkovo on the outskirts of Moscow was center of the program. Its stated purpose was 'identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joint projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the American and Russian people.'
Instead, the FBI warned several American technology companies in 2014 that Skolkovo 'may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation's sensitive or classified research development facilities and dual-use technologies with military and commercial application.' Indeed, it was."

Obama's Syria Cowardice Continued
Obama's idiocy and cowardice on Syria reflects his larger cowardice about Islamo-Arab Imperialism. It now is green-lighting Soviet Russian aggression there.

Red Russia's Sham "Withdrawal" In Syria
Vladimir Putin's "withdrawal" in Syria is no withdrawal. Vladimir Putin's neo-imperialism is continuing as he shores up the terrorist Assad regime and gets military bases. It is also aligning itself with Iran.

Red Russia And The Assads
The "cessation of hostilities" in Syria of recent is nothing of the kind - it is but a victory for Vladimir Putin and his Syrian viceroy Assad. It has been in keeping with the Obama administration's appeasement of Putin and the West's refusal to understand that Red Russia is not and never will be a partner - only an enemy.

Obama Lets Vlad Win Again
Vladimir Putin is not part of the solution in the Middle East, he's part of the problem. His is a foreign policy of aggression and conquest (in the Middle East, Ukraine, etc.) and he's taken advantage of Obama's fecklessness.
