Holding Your Horses About Iran

The street revolution in Iran is a strike at ther Ayatollahs and to be welcomed as such. But one needs some sobering truths as well, for the brouhaha over Iranian elections has masked the fact that the opposition leader in Iran, Mousavi, was Ayatollah Khomeini's right hand thug and prime minister in the Iran-Iraq war decade of the 1980s, was a mastermind of the 444-day seizure of US diplomats, and is a leader of Iran's Islamo-Arab imperialism crusade that includes building nuclear weapons.

The world needs a real Iranian counterrevolution. The present wave of protests is encouraging but not necessarily positive. Chosing between Hitler and Stalin, which is what the Iranian election involved, solves nothing.
