Remembering When Ted Kennedy Killed A Woman
In July 1969 Senator Ted Kennedy killed Mary Jo Kopechne. She had worked with his brother Bobby on his ill-advised and ultimately fatal Presidential campaign. In July 1969 she attended a reunion of Kennedy campaign workers at Teddy's house on Chappaquiddick Island. They left around midnight and the always-irresponsible Teddy plunged their Oldsmobile into the nearby water; he freed himself and refused to try and rescue Kopechne - instead he fled to cover up his role in killing her, which included bullying the local police and getting the local judge to give him a suspended sentence. He fought to avoid responsibility - and it showcases the character of leftism.
