This is the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive, the last-gasp attack by the North Vietnamese against South Vietnam that caught US media by surprise.   Bloody fighting left the enemy reeling, but media falsification of the offensive contributed to indecision by the always-shaky Johnson Administration.
