A Turkish ship was boarded by Israeli soldiers; ostensibly intended to deliver humanitarian aid, the ship in reality was trying to arm Hamas, the terrorist clique ruling Gaza. When the ship's members attacked Israeli soldiers, they fought back. A good summary is provided here while a a longer examination is provided here.
Israel of course is guilty of a crime against humanity based on UN reaction.
