In 1978 a phony "preacher" - a Marxoid scammer named Jim Jones - goaded 900 poor into killing themselves by drinking poisoned fruit juices. Jones had engaged in mass raping and child abuse of his "flock" before making them kill themselves, and had been enabled by the political culture of San Francisco. It's a sick story that's been forgotten as it is the archetypal case of leftist culture.
